Think Outside the Box for Your New Year’s Resolutions

After the year we just came through, you may have little motivation to set new resolutions. Regardless of the reminder that life can throw curveballs, sometimes very big ones, there is value in staying connected to the here-and-now. Resolutions don’t have to be what they’ve always been. In fact, there are good reasons to change things up a bit this year, especially as it pertains to health and wellness. We suggest getting specific.

Instead of “I’m going to eat healthier and exercise more,” say “I’m going to stop eating processed foods and am going to do yoga three days a week.”

One of the reasons so many resolutions are forgotten within a few months is that they are nonspecific. Without specificity, it is difficult to maintain the intention that is needed to achieve new levels of wellness, productivity, creativity, whatever it is you wish to have more of in your life.

If we’re talking about health and wellness, there are several ways to think outside the box for maximum impact. In our Scottsdale office, out of the box thinking may include nutrient testing, customized supplementation, and IV vitamin drips.

Why IV Vitamins?

We’ve come to believe that we should get most of our vitamins and minerals from the foods that we eat. If we eat healthily, we won’t be deficient in any of the essential nutrients. This is a fallacy. Even those who avoid processed foods, limit alcohol, and eat a nutrient-rich diet could, at some point, suffer imbalances and deficiencies. There are several reasons this could happen. According to one study, 9 out of 10 Americans are not getting the necessary key nutrients like fiber, potassium, magnesium calcium, choline, and vitamins A, C, D, and E. They are either not consuming them or not absorbing them. IV therapy offsets this.

Nutrient deficiencies can lead to several unpleasant effects. Some make it difficult to lose weight. Some rob the body of vital energy and immune-responses. As an experienced wellness provider, Dr. Ong has educated herself on understanding the effects of nutritional deficiencies. In our Scottsdale office, we offer the vitamin “cocktails” that can help you avoid the imbalances that may diminish your optimal wellness. An IV drip takes only about an hour, requires no downtime, and because nutrients bypass the digestive process, provides the full benefits of the custom vitamin and mineral cocktail.
