Breast Implant Removal: Why Bigger Isn’t Always Better

Dr. Ong has been featured in an article about a new plastic surgery trend among women removing their breast implants for a more natural look. The new fitness era and the inconvenience of maintaining implants are a couple reasons for this recent trend. To read more, click here!

Hymen Restoration: Outrageous Anachronism or Life-Saving Procedure?

“From a medical standpoint, the effect of associating a hymenal tear or bleed with virginity is not compelling. There can be non-sexual reasons why a teenage girl may have a tear. It could have resulted from sporting activities or inserting tampons or something she may not even be aware of. There are women with wide or elastic hymens, where no tears have occurred despite sexual intercourse. Also, some women are born without a hymen.

But because a woman’s safety or well-being is often involved in her decision to seek out hymenoplasty, experts — who deplore the subjugation that often motivates these women — can see some justification for the procedure. This includes Dr. Ong. “It’s a tough and dangerous situation to be involved in,” she says, “but performing the procedure could potentially save a life. In extreme societies, the male relatives would want to know why she didn’t bleed during intercourse and arrange for a male relative to carry out an honor killing. If you had the opportunity to prevent a life lost, wouldn’t you do it?” Click here to read the article.

Breast Implant Removal: Why Bigger Isn’t Always Better

Dr. Ong featured in an article discussing the correlation between breast implants and women’s health. Dr. Ong reports, “Even though there have not been conclusive studies about the direct clinical correlation between implant and illness, there have been real patient stories with real experiences of symptom improvement and overall well-being after implant removal.” To read more, click here!

Dr. Ong travels internationally to teach ThermiVa™, female rejuvenation, and the O-shot®

Dr. Ong traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to present at The Aesthetic Dermatology Academy Conference (ADAC) from May 25th to 28th, 2017. ADAC has established itself as one of the most comprehensive educational opportunities in aesthetic dermatology in Asia. The faculty at the conference included some of the most respected aesthetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons from the region.

Dr. Ong was an early pioneer in female rejuvenation and sought out the best innovators to learn new skills. She had previously trained with Dr. Red Alinsod, a board-certified gynecologist and urogynecologist who created the ThermiVa™ device and the method utilizing radio frequency for recovery of vaginal health and function.

She also trained with Dr. Charles Runels, MD — the creator of the O-shot®, a specific way to prepare and inject blood derived growth factors for the recovery of sexual health and the treatment of urinary incontinence.

Dr. Ong brought her experience and knowledge of ThermiVa™ and the O-shot® to Asia to help introduce the technology to physicians. She presented at the conference, and led several teaching and hands-on sessions with gynecologists and physicians regarding the procedures. “It was a very successful trip and I am honored to have had the opportunity to teach and share my experience with other physicians so that they may offer these treatments to their patients,” Dr. Ong states.

“So many women suffer from stress incontinence and dryness, but most have no idea there is a viable solution. Awareness is key, giving women the knowledge they need, empowering them to improve their lives functionally,” she adds. Which in-turn improves other aspects of their lives, both emotionally and physically.

“PRP harnesses the body’s restorative capabilities, enabling it to heal in an unprecedented way, improving surgical outcomes and tissue regeneration. “It has completely changed my practice,” she says. “The results are outstanding. The human body is amazing – feed it with the right ingredients, and it can do incredible things!” Dr. Ong has exhaustively researched the process and thoroughly understands the science to maximize the process. Click here to read the article.
