“Dr. Ong travels internationally to teach  ThermiVa ™ female rejuvenation and the O-shot®”

Dr. Ong recently traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to present at The Aesthetic Dermatology Academy Conference from May 25 to 28th, 2017. ADAC has established itself as one of the most comprehensive educational opportunities in aesthetic dermatology in Asia. The faculty at the conference included some of the most respected aesthetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons from the region.

Dr. Ong was an early pioneer in female rejuvenation and sought out the best innovators to learn new skills. She had previously trained with Dr. Red Alinsod, a board-certified gynecologist and urogynecologist who created the ThermiVa™ device and the method utilizing radio frequency for recovery of vaginal health and function.

She also trained with Dr. Charles Runels, MD the creator of the O-shot®, a specific way to prepare and inject blood derived growth factors for the recovery of sexual health and the treatment of urinary incontinence.

Dr . Ong brought her experience and knowledge of ThermiVa™ and the O-shot® to Asia to help introduce the technology to physicians.  She presented at the conference, and led several teaching and hands-on sessions with gynecologists and physicians regarding the procedures. “It was a very successful trip and I am honored to have had the opportunity to teach and share my experience with other physicians so that they may offer these treatments to their patients.” Dr. Ong states.

“So many women suffer from stress incontinence and dryness, but most have no idea there is a viable solution.  Awareness is key, giving women the knowledge they need, empowering them to improve their lives functionally.” she adds.  Which in-turn improves other aspects of their lives, both emotionally and physically.

Hymen Restoration: Outrageous Anachronism or Life-Saving Procedure?

“From a medical standpoint, the effect of associating a hymenal tear or bleed with virginity is not compelling. There can be non-sexual reasons why a teenage girl may have a tear. It could have resulted from sporting activities or inserting tampons or something she may not even be aware of. There are women with wide or elastic hymens, where no tears have occurred despite sexual intercourse. Also, some women are born without a hymen.

But because a woman’s safety or well-being is often involved in her decision to seek out hymenoplasty, even experts who deplore the subjugation that often motivates these women can see some justification for the procedure. This includes Ong. It’s a tough and dangerous situation to be involved in, she says, but performing the procedure could potentially save a life. In extreme societies, the male relatives would want to know why she didn’t bleed during intercourse and arrange for a male relative to carry out an honor killing. If you had the opportunity to prevent a life lost, wouldn’t you do it?” Click here to read the article.
