MicroLaser Peel
What is a MicroLaser Peel™?
This non-invasive laser treatment is sometimes referred to as the “weekend peel”. It works by removing the top layer of the skin which reveals new youthful skin underneath. At the same time, it tightens the deeper layers of the dermis where collagen and elastin are created. This helps to eliminate wrinkles, spots, bumps, and dull tired looking skin. As the skin heals the old cells are replaced by new healthy cells giving you smoother, brighter, clearer, and tighter skin.
How It Works
Microlaser peel vs. microdermabrasion & chemical peels
Microdermabrasion uses either a diamond tip or crystals to exfoliate the skin. It is followed by a vacuum suction that removes the dead skin and debris. Chemical peels can vary in how they affect the skin. Typically with peels, a light acid such as glycolic is applied to the skin and then rinsed off. Over the next few days, the skin treated begins to peel and flake. Most of these treatments only remove the stratum corneum the very first layer of the epidermis. MicroLaser Peel® removes all the way down to the deeper layers of the epidermis.
Will it hurt?
Before your MicroLaser Peel® treatment we can apply a topical numbing cream that will reduce the amount of feeling you have in the treatment area. We also offer ProNox™ which is a laughing gas that our patients can control during their treatment. It helps to relax you and take your mind off of any discomfort. ProNox™ wears off in about 5 minutes and you are able to drive yourself home after using it.

What to expect during microlaser peel recovery
This treatment works by removing only the top layers of skin. This makes the treatment very tolerable because it doesn’t go too deep into the skin. We will make sure that you go home with the best products to ensure that your skin stays hydrated and that your investment stays protected. The non-invasive nature of this procedure also provides a quick recovery. Most people take 2-3 days off and then return to work. You should avoid direct sunlight for the first 1-2 weeks following your procedure.
Before and After

Am I a candidate For a Microlaser Peel?
Almost everyone will benefit from a MicroLaser Peel®. Removing the old layers of the skin and stimulating collagen production will keep the skin looking youthful and refreshed. The treatment can also be combined with other procedures such as BBL® for pigmentation or ProFractional® for resurfacing deeper wrinkles or scarring. These procedures can typically be done at the same time. At your initial consultation, a treatment plan will be customized depending on your individual goals.
Will i need multiple microlaser peel treatments?
Most people notice an improvement after the first treatment because the top layer of skin is removed revealing beautiful healthy skin underneath. Depending on your personal goals most people will benefit from a package of treatments on a monthly basis followed by follow up every 6-12 months. The number of treatments needed initially will vary from person to person but 3-5 is a good baseline for optimizing skin health and rejuvenation.
