What is Vaginal Rejuvenation?
Vaginal atrophy and loosening is a natural byproduct of childbirth and aging. Without sufficient vaginal lubrication, elasticity, and muscle tone, a woman’s sexual responses may wane. Vaginal rejuvenation may be performed surgically or nonsurgically. Surgical vaginal tightening is a one- to two-hour outpatient procedure performed under anesthesia. During surgery, Dr. Ong tightens and trims tissue, resulting in a more narrow vaginal canal. Nonsurgical vaginal rejuvenation is an in-office procedure that requires no anesthesia and no downtime. This method works by delivering thermal energy into the vaginal lining, stimulating collagen constriction and the production of new collagen and elastin fibers. What is LabiaSculpt™ Surgery?
LabiaSculpt surgery is a procedure that sculpts and reshapes the labia, the external pieces of tissue at the opening of the vagina. No labia are considered “abnormal.” However, the size and shape of a woman’s genitalia can cause physical and emotional discomfort. For example, labia that are quite long may get pinched or pulled during sexual intercourse. On a cosmetic level, large labia can be visible in certain types of clothing.
LabiaSculpt surgery is an outpatient procedure in which strategic incisions are made in the labia minora or labia majora. A small amount of tissue is trimmed to reshape the labia to appear smaller and more symmetrical. In some cases, thermal energy can be used to perform nonsurgical labia reshaping.
